Margin Expansion
Operating margin improving > 2pp, revenue growing > 5%.
When the operating margin widens by 2+ points while revenue grows, profit grows faster than sales. That usually means fixed costs are spread over more revenue or the company has pricing power, and earnings estimates tend to rise after it.
Cost cuts and one-off gains widen margins too, and they don't repeat.
